Domine Dirige Nos

Music

We are passionate about music at Holy Trinity, and are dedicated to enabling our children to have solid foundations in musical skills and knowledge, as well as having the opportunity to try new instruments, and receive expert tutelage in a wide variety of instruments.

Every child learns to play the recorder and the violin whilst they are at Holy Trinity.

There are also other opportunities throughout their time here, including:

Choir

Our award winning choir meets on Wednesdays and is developing a fantastic reputation in the region and is often requested to perform at all sorts of public events – including Westminster Abbey and Canterbury Cathedral! They lead the school in song during whole school worship three times a week, and are often asked to participate in special Sunday services at our local church.

Auditions are held each year and children are invited to join.

Singing for fun

This is held at lunchtimes and is an open club to all who enjoy singing. A range of songs and hymns are learnt by children across all ages.

Orchestra

We have an established orchestra made up of children (and teachers) across the school who meet once a week at lunchtime to practice together. They take part in whole school assemblies as well as in special services at our local church.

Other instrument learning opportunities with superb teachers…
